Our team has a fantastic history of success with the Dean's List award. We had finalists in four years from 2014 to 2017. (Tom Bialick, Gabriel Pellerano, Marcus Osborn, Alex Taber) It is important to decide on the two nominees early, have one person responsible for the essays with input from the mentors who have worked closely with the students, and prep the nominees for their interviews. Focus on the criteria for the award written by FIRST. It is good to debrief the students right after their interviews and take notes to help prepare for moving on in the process and to help next year's students. Here are some interview questions from 2016: * How has FIRST changed your life? * Why do you think you are a leader? * Why do you think your team nominated you? * How has FIRST impacted you career choice? * What challenges or surprises did you face and how did you address them? * How do you envision your team accomplishments next year? * What makes you unique as a Dean's List nominee? * What one word would you use to describe this year? Why?
