Safety needs to be built into the culture of a team.  It only takes one serious injury to put not just the injured student, but the entire team's existence at risk.  The Safety Lead is responsible for:
* Coordinating and tracking shop safety training (Canvas)
* Expert on FRC [https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc/safety safety rules]
* Developing, maintaining, and enhancing the team safety manual
* Ensuring shop safety rules (especially safety glasses)
* Identifying potential safety problems and developing processes to prevent them
* Becoming expert on game safety rules
* Working with Pit and Game Leads to ensure safety in the pits and on the field
* Working with Quartermaster and mentors to acquire necessary safety equipment
* Noting safety violations and reporting chronic violations to lead mentors
