Safety Director

Safety needs to be built into the culture of a team. It only takes one serious injury to put not just the injured student, but the entire team's existence at risk. The Safety Lead is responsible for:

• Coordinating and tracking shop safety training (Canvas)
• Expert on FRC ​safety rules
• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing the team safety manual
• Ensuring shop safety rules (especially safety glasses)
• Identifying potential safety problems and developing processes to prevent them
• Becoming expert on game safety rules
• Working with Pit and Game Leads to ensure safety in the pits and on the field
• Working with Quartermaster and mentors to acquire necessary safety equipment
• Noting safety violations and reporting chronic violations to lead mentors
