The Software Testing Lead is responsible for planning and executing the test strategy to verify the control systems software meets the defined requirements, including:
* Understanding the software requirements.
* Preparing and documenting a test plan that defines the strategy used to verify the software meets the requirements.
* Working with the [wiki:TeamStructure/Roles/SoftwareBuildMaster Software Build Master] to identify and help deploy software builds that are ready to be tested.
* Executing test cases according to the documented test plan.
* Reporting and tracking defects.
