Autonomous Lead

At the start of each competition match, there is a 15-second period (the autonomous period) during which the robot must complete tasks with no human operator. All of the tasks must be completed under program control. The Autonomous lead is responsible for this programming including:

  • robot configuration prior to start of period
  • navigation
  • vision/targeting
  • task completion
  • testability/validation of function
  • diagnostics and/or calibration mechanisms
  • white paper describing the operation
  • Working with Awards Lead towards Innovation in Control award
