Student Mentors

Your first (rookie) year on an FRC team can be overwhelming. You don't know the other students and mentors, you don't know where everything is kept or even what everything is. Returning students can make this much easier by being a student mentor to a rookie.

Student Mentors should:

• Get to know their rookie(s) - personally - make friends
• Help their rookie learn the ropes:
  • find their way around the closet
  • understand the season
  • the arcane FRC terminology
• Help the rookies get to know other rookies
• Advocate for their rookie
• Seek feedback from the rookie about their experience on the team
• Flag problems to a mentor
