    44Your first (rookie) year on an FRC team can be overwhelming.  You don't know the other students and mentors, you don't know where everything is kept or even what everything is.  Returning students can make this much easier by being a student mentor to a rookie.

     6Student Mentors should:
     7* Get to know their rookie(s) - personally - make friends
     8* Help their rookie learn the ropes:
     9   * find their way around the closet
     10   * understand the season
     11   * the arcane FRC terminology
     12* Help the rookies get to know other rookies
     13* Advocate for their rookie
     14* Seek feedback from the rookie about their experience on the team
     15* Flag problems to a mentor
